Doris 'Jan' Caldwell, 76, of Ledbetter, KY, passed away at 7:48 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church, was a homemaker, enjoyed traveling, had a booth at Traders Mall Flea Market since its opening and owned a catering service (Caldwell's Bridal Boutique) for many years.

Mrs. Caldwell is survived by three daughters, Donna Forsythe and husband Gary of Marshall Co. KY, Peggy Stafford and husband Curt of Grand Rivers, KY and Lorie Caldwell Lawrence of Ledbetter, KY; one son, Kenneth Caldwell of Hickory, KY; seven grandchildren, Angela Womble of Hickory, KY, Neal Stafford of Grand Rivers, KY, Kenneth J. Caldwell of Paducah, KY, Joshua Forsythe of Princton, KY, Jason Forsythe of Eddyville, KY, Joel Stafford of Ledbetter, KY and Kristin Faughn of Ledbetter, KY; ten great grandchildren with one on the way; one sister, Daisy Pearson of Corpus Christi, TX; sister-in-law, Thelma Slayton of Beeville, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Caldwell; one grandson Corey Faughn; five sisters, Evelyn, Gladys, Billie, Reba and Wanda, a brother, Sonny Slayton and a son-in-law, George Lawrence. Her parents were, William Harvey Slayton and Harriet Elizabeth Cowart Slayton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Mike Wooley officiating. Burial will follow at Dixon Cemetery in Grand Rivers, KY. The Caldwell family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
