Clarence Keith Burns Sr 62, of Hobe Sound, Florida, died on Tuesday, July 2, 2003 in the Hospice of Martin and St. Lucie, Florida.
Born May 16, 1941, in Monroe Township, Clarion County, he was a son of Henry G and Mary Alice Burns.
Keith attended Redbank Valley High School, New Bethlehem, Pa and graduated in 1959 from Carterette Prep School in East Orange, New Jersey. He owned the Burns Insurance Agency in Hobe Sound, Florida where he had been a resident for the past 19 years. Prior to that, he was employed by the Florida State Insurance Department and previously was the owner of an insurance business in Quakertown. Mr Burns was past master of the Quakertown Lodge No 512 F&AM, a member of the Rajah Shrine in Reading and past president of the Quakertown Rotary Club. He was also a member of the Quakertown Moose Lodge No 1622.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Judith Burns of Hobe Sound: Two sons, C Keith Burns Jr of Bath and David E Burns and his wife, Patricia, of Bangor; Two step-daughters, Yvonne Boggs of Stuart, Florida and Tammy Gasparini and her husband, George of Port St Lucie, Florida; three grandchildren; a step-grandchild: his mother, Mary Alice Burns of New Bethlehem; a brother; H Eugene Burns and his wife, Sue of Clarion; and two sisters, Kathy Confer and her husband, Paul of Grove City.
Mr Burns was preceded in death by his father, Henry Burns in 1996 and by a sister, Mary Ann Burns.
A memorial service was held at 1 pm on Thursday, July 3,in the Chapel of the Young & Prill Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida.
