Mary Black, 85,of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, November 28,2004, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Black was born December 15,1918, in Cass County, Texas. She was a member of Texas PTA and Unity Baptist Church. She was preceaded in death by her husband, Herman Black, in February 1997. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Linda Black and Bobby and Sarah Black of Texarkana; one brother, Bennie H. Duck of Wake Village, Texas,; five grandchildren, Dr. Scott Black, Susan Maynard, Stephanie Riddle, Joe Black, and Jon Black of Texarkana; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, with the Rev. John Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
