He named his first two sons after Huldrych Zwingli, the Swiss Reformer. The first died very young, the second, Ulricus Zwinglius Booge, died of typhus at age 16. His grave (name Uterick) is in Granville, Mass., #81154914.
His personal library became the core of the public library.

Aaron was said to have become in his later days an infidel. He opposed the revivals of Rev. Charles Finney. According to Finney's "Memoirs" (Chap. XVII) Aaron "died a horrible death and thus his opposition came to an end." This was supposed to have happened durinng Finney's Stephentown Revival (held after the New Lebanon Convention, July 1827), but Aaron had been dead for over a year.
Finney's FAG memorial is #19664.
