Death of Mrs. Jerry Gongaware

Mrs. Pearl D. Gongaware, 69, wife of Jerry C. Gongaware, of South Meadville, died Monday night at Meadville City Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Irwin, Westmoreland County, and spent most of her life in the Greensburg area. She moved to Meadville about five years ago.
She was a member of Brush Creek Lutheran Church, Adamsburg. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Gilbert S. Gongaware, with whom she resided and J. Clark Gongaware of Greensburg; 11 grandchildren; 4 sisters Tillie Dunkle of Baldwin Park, Calif, Mrs Norman Michaelof Los Angelos Calif., Mrs. J. Nelson Weddell of Mckeesport, and Mrs. Louis R. Judge of Niagra New York, two brothers, John M. And Charles F. Rose both of Irwin. Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the Waid Funeral Home. The body will be removed Wednesday morning to the Snyder Funeral Home in Irwin where services will be held Friday. Interment will be at Westmoreland Memorial Park.
