CZARNOWSKI, ISABELLE RITA Isabelle Rita Czarnowski, aged 98, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 1, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex, and all of her brothers and sisters. Surviving are her children, Janice (Bill) Tolly, Ken (Patty) Czarnowski PhD, Fred (Diane) Czarnowski; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Isabelle was a volunteer for Villa Elizabeth for 17 years, and President of the Senior Citizen Club of St. Al's member of Holy Family. Isabelle graduated from Catholic Central in 1932, and was known as a fabulous cook of traditional polish dishes. She was an avid reader who loved all sports, and her many hobbies included knitting, card games, sewing, baking, and ceramics. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 224 Carrier N.E. Visitation at Reyers North Valley Chapel from 2-5 p.m.and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 with the Rosary being prayed at 8 p.m. One hour additional visitation from 10-11 a.m. at church before mass on Wednesday. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, please consider a memorial contribution in memory of Isabelle to St. Alphonsus Capital Campaign.
