Archie Francis Nichols, 67, of Bremerton died Tuesday at Harrison Memorial Hospital from complications following an aneurism.
He was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Concord, Neb., the second youngest of 14 children.
He joined the Navy and served during World War II aboard the USS Lexington.
On Nov. 6, 1945, he married Germaine Gray in Bremerton. Mr. Nichols was a carpenter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 33 years, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bremerton and enjoyed fishing and flowers.
Survivors include his wife, Germaine; a daughter, Charlie Rudolph of Naches, Yakima County; three sons, Randy and Greg, both of Seattle, and David of Bremerton; three sisters, Mary McElwain and Rachel Craig, both of Long Beach, Calif., and Leona Magner of Iowa; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
