Services for George Berry Avera will be Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis McMannus and Rev. Steve Avera officiating. Burial will be in New Home Church Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Avera, 76, of Quitman, Mississippi died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at V. A. Nursing Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He was a veteran of U. S. Marines.

He is survived by his sons, Craig Massey and Damon Massey; daughters, Pennie Roberts, Cathy Massey and Deondra Green; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Katie Cox and Deborah Eubanks and very close friend, Sue Turner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elouise Avera; grandson, Brian Wake and parents, George and Ruffie Avera.
