Word has been received by Kenneth Ohl, of the death of his stepfather, S. Ross Turnpaugh, 73, at 2:00 PM Monday, July 15, 1959, in Hollywood, FL; he had been ill two weeks. The Turnpaughs formerly lived at 802 North Eighteenth and moved to Florida two years ago. Born at Walton, Turnpaugh was a retired Pennsylvania Railroad employee, and a veteran of World War I. He married Mrs. Ruth Ohl on December 8, 1949; she survives. He was a member of Logansport Masonic Lodge, Hope Chapel Presbyterian Church and VFW Post 1154.

Surviving with the widow and stepson are a son, Kale Turnpaugh of Milwaukee, WI; three stepdaughters, Margaret (Mrs. Charles) Kirby, Catherine (Mrs. William) Rose, both of Hollywood, FL, and Norma (Mrs. David) Pierce of Frankfort; and five sisters, Mrs. Stella Wagler of Bunker Hill, Mrs. Edith Slusher of Marion, Mrs. Emma Slusher of Walton, Mrs. Leota Etnire of Logansport, and Mrs. Dessie Gibson of Galveston. Service at Zahn-Schneider Funeral Home, July 19, Rev. Peter Hanstra officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens with VFW graveside rites.
