Eddy was born November 4,1957 in Phoenix,Arizona to Richard Eugene "Gene" Packard and Ramona Lee Rouse Packard.He grew up in Mesa spending much of his time around his fathers Aviation businesses,Eddy loved the outdoors hunting,camping,fishing and running around the Tonto Basin or Northern Arizona kicking over rocks.Eddy spent over 30 years in the Aviation field working for his father at Globe Air Inc.and later Air Response Inc.at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa were they maintained a fleet of aircraft for firefighting for the Government or spraying for evasive insects around the country and then later built radial engines for WWII era warplanes,including engines for the CAF Arizona Wing's Boeing B-17"Sentimental Journey",and numerous other warbirds around the country,also did maintainance on aircraft such as North American B25 "Barbie III",Grumman TBM-3 Avenger,Grumman-Albatross,Grumman-F8F-Bearcat,Lockheed PV-2 Harpoons and the many other various aircraft that showed up in front of the hangar.Eddy was a real character always had a story to tell about some past adventure or some farse to pull your leg he was a jokester.He'd tell ya how hungry he was and how broke at the same time so you'd buy him some food and a pack of smokes and then he'd reach in his pocket and pull out a twenty dollar bill(That was ED).Eddy battled his illness for two years and succumbed on Jan 16,2011 in Mesa ,Arizona.He was laid to rest at the Cline Family Cemetery in Tonto Basin,Arizona near his ancestors,he's up their hunting with his Great-Great-Grandfathers Florence Packard and Wes Goswick,maybe doing some mining with his Great-Grandfather Bill or at Roosevelt doing some fishing with Uncle Hop and Uncle Zeke or eating some great food made by Greatgrandma Rhoda Packard . Eddy is survived by his parents Gene and Ramona Packard, his son Bill(Amber)Packard, wife Cindy Packard, sister Terry(Jim)Lewis, Stepchildren and Step-grandchildren, also nieces and nephews.
