Charles Allen Deel 68 years of age of Vansant, VA, passed away Friday, November 26, 2004 in the Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem, NC. Born in Buchanan County he was the son of the late Charlie Deel and Patty Keen Deel. He was a member of the Little Martha Old Regular Baptist Church, a retired coal miner, loving Father and Grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Deel on December 16, 2003; two sisters, four brothers and one granddaughter, Miranda Sue Deel.
He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Gail Deel Mullins and husband Richard Carl of Maxton, NC, Linda Gay Deel Wright and husband Roy Lewis of North Augusta, SC and Barbara Allan Deel Helton and husband Samuel Dean of Mocksville, NC. One son Gary Dale Deel and wife Susan of Lebanon, VA. Two brothers, Tommy Deel of Oakwood, VA and Lee Deel of Vansant, VA. He is survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Charles Allen Deel will be conducted Monday, November 29, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Roger Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, VA.
Family and Friends will serve as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
