He was a past Noble Grand of the Southold Lodge, I O O F and a member of the Encampment. He was also a member of the Protection Engine Co of the Southold Fire Department.
Funeral services were held at the DeFriest Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct 9th, with Rev. R DeMott, pastor-elect of the Southold Presbyterian Church, conducting the services. Graveside services were conducted by members of the Southold Lodge, I O O F. Interment was in the Willow Hill Cemetery.
Mr Baird is survived by his wife Mrs. Harriet Hibbard Baird, and a sister Mrs Catherine Wilson of Southampton, LI.
