Mr Thomas D BAIRD of Boisseau Avenue, Southold passed away at the Eastern Long Island Hospital on Wednesday October 5th. He was born in Great Britain on August 26th, 1873 and and came to Southold at the age of four. He had resided at Boisseau Ave for 50 years, where he had farmed until a few years ago when he retired.

He was a past Noble Grand of the Southold Lodge, I O O F and a member of the Encampment. He was also a member of the Protection Engine Co of the Southold Fire Department.

Funeral services were held at the DeFriest Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct 9th, with Rev. R DeMott, pastor-elect of the Southold Presbyterian Church, conducting the services. Graveside services were conducted by members of the Southold Lodge, I O O F. Interment was in the Willow Hill Cemetery.

Mr Baird is survived by his wife Mrs. Harriet Hibbard Baird, and a sister Mrs Catherine Wilson of Southampton, LI.
