MARQUETTE — Maurice L. White, 51, died Friday night of a heart attack at his home west of Marquette. Mr. White was born March 23, 1914, in Canton. He livec in McPherson where he was a carpenter until be moved to Marquette in 1949.cHe was a member of the Marquette Methodist Church and the Marquette American Legion Post. He was a veteran of World War 2.
Mr. White is survived by the widow, Lucille, of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. White, Canton; two sons, Robert and Rodney, both of the home; two brothers, Lloyd and George, both of Canton; and three sisters, Mrs. Inez Fortner, Canton; Mrs. Delbert Young, Salina; and Mrs. Ralph Caywood, Cinebar, Wash.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Marquette Methodist Church, the Rev. Duane Harms officiating. Burial will be in the Crestwood Memorial Park, McPherson.
The America Legion will conduct services at the cemetery.
Friends may call at the Olson funeral home, Marquette, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
