Clara W. Gross age 95 passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at Rennes Health Center East of Peshtigo, WI, where she was a resident. She was born on September 15, 1907 daughter of the late Karl and Paulina (Meier) Reck in Racine, WI.

On August 25, 1928 she married Norman Malcolm Gross in Kenosha where the couple lived until moving to Peshtigo in 1945. Norman preceded her in death on February 19, 1963.

Clara retired from the Marinette Knitting Mills of Marinette. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, Women's Relief Core, Peshtigo Historical Society and the Senior Citizen Group.

She is survived by three sons: Malcolm Gross, Green Bay, WI; Herman (Shirley) Gross, Kokomo, IN and Robert (Diana Monaco) Gross, Bel Air, MD;
One daughter Dorothy Sharpe, Messa, AZ;
Three sisters: Alma Dupons, Gerde Itzenhuisur and Ruth Fiers;
Twelve grandchildren; Eighteen great-grandchildren; Two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight siblings.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 24, at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. David Zahn will be officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
