Frances' mother was Mary Frances (Sullivan) Long

Mary Frances "Molly" Sullivan was the daughter of James Andrew Sullivan and Lydia (Wyant) Sullivan of Albemarle and Greene Counties, Virginia. Mary was born in 1852. She married James Thomas Long on Dec. 21, 1875, in Greene County, VA. Based on notes written by her daughter Nettie and statements of her other children, Mary died in 1891 at the family home at Simmons Gap, Greene County, VA. Her children said she was buried in the Sullivan Family Cemetery at Simmons Gap in Greene County, VA. Mary's death was not recorded in the records at Stanardsville Courthouse, but in Nettie's note, she states Mary was laid to rest next to her daughter Frances, who died at the age of 3 years old in 1881. Although a small field stone marker still existed for Frances in 2003, it was a small, weathered by time and barely legible. No grave marker was found for Mary in 2003, although if one existed it could have deteriorated over time.
