She was born December 6, 1957, in Fairfield, IL, the daughter of Richard D. and Shirley (Allen) Angle. She married Jimmie D. Akers on December 26, 1975.
Deana was a homemaker. She was a member of Island Free Methodist Church where she served as Chairperson for the Food Pantry, as well as the church Treasurer. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. She was very dedicated to her church and the Lord.
Survivors include her husband Jimmie; her parents Richard and Shirley Angle; two sons Justin (Ashley) Akers and Brad (Erin) Akers; one daughter Heather (Daniel) Doty; one brother Robert Angle; one sister Sheila (John) Johnston; seven grandchildren Jayley Akers, Layton Croslow, Jase Akers, Samuel Croslow, Owen Akers, Jack Akers, and Lilyan Doty, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
Burial was in Petty Cemetery.
