Ann Covington Whitehead, 70, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at her home in Terry. Visitation will be 2-4pm Saturday, November 10 and 1-2pm Sunday November 11, with services beginning at 2pm, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery. Mrs. Whitehead was born December 21, 1941 and was a lifelong resident of Terry where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a lover of animals, taking in town's strays.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jack & Myrtle Covington; brother Jackie Covington and son Marvin Hamaker.

Survivors include her son David (Jill) Hamaker of Grand Blanc, MI; brother Frank Covington of Greenville; grandsons Samuel & Jacob; nephew William Shipp; niece Kathleen Shipp; great niece Mellissa Shipp; great nephew Kevin Shipp.
