Isaac was the second son of Henry and Anna (Wang) Daehlin. He married Frieda Pfister 1 Dec 1922 in Rockford, IL and they had a son, John and daughter, Jean.
Isaac and Frieda lived in Freeport early in their marriage. At that time Isaac worked for Friday Foundry, formerly Stover Manufacturing Company. They moved to the Monroe, WI area to farm in 1932. Isaac retired from farming in 1958 and they moved to Monroe where he worked for Carter and Gruenewald until his death.
