Mary married Terry "Norvil" Wimberly around 1936 in Kentucky. After their first daughter was born there, the family moved to Wood River, Madison County, Illinois, where he worked for the Western Cartridge Company. 2 more daughters were born in Madison County.
Norvil served in the United States Navy during World War II. He enlisted in 1943 and received his discharge in 1945.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the beginning of 1 p.m. funeral services on 02 Oct 2009 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, Illinois. She was buried next to her husband, Gabby, who passed away in 1987.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to BJC Hospice or to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
