Born in South Kingstown, a son of the late Sidney F. and Jennie Anna (Webster) Tucker, he was a lifelong resident of South Kingstown.
He was assistant highway superintendent for the South Kingstown Public Works Department for 26 year. He was also an owner and the president of Worden Pond Family Campground Inc.
He served in the Army National Guard.
He was an avid race-car fan.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, John S. and William C. Tucker, both of South Kingstown; two daughters, Suzanne Farrell of Narragansett and Holly J. Masson of South Kingstown; a brother, Sidney F. Tucker III of South Kingstown; and five grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Tuesday in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., South Kingstown. Burial was in the Tucker family cemetery, South Kingstown.
