Robert Dan Barefoot, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on November 7, 2012. He was born May 29, 1963 in De Leon, Texas to Vetress Lee Weatherman and Reginald G. Barefoot, Sr. of De Leon.

He graduated from De Leon High School. He lived in Muskogee for over 20 years. He was the manager of Dickinson Theater in the Arrowhead Mall and also worked at Homeland Grocery Market.

He enjoyed all types of music from smooth jazz, to 80's rock and roll, to country and even opera. He loved watching movies, and his job at the theater was a lifelong interest.

One of his favorite activities was being with his family. Dan, as he was better known, was always the life of the gathering. He had a marvelous sense of humor and would have everyone laughing. He had many friends, and was dearly loved by all his family, and especially, his nephews and nieces.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deria Lee Tucker; and nephew, David Lee Barefoot.

He is survived by siblings, Gerald Barefoot and wife, Martha of Conroe, TX, David Barefoot and wife, Isabell of Braggs, OK, Jackie and husband, Jimmy Cadenhead of Midlothian, TX, and Paul Barefoot and wife, Sharon of Muskogee, OK; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great nephews and great-great nieces. He will be greatly missed by all.

A visitation will be held in Muskogee, OK on Friday, November 09, 2012 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

On Sunday, November 11, 2012, the family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. in De Leon at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home and funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home chapel.

Brother Jackie Auvenshine will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Jim Cadenhead, Jr., Michael Stewart, Wayne Taylor, Austin Taylor, Cameron Shupp, Stetson Allgood, Skyler Allgood, Niven Barefoot, Tom Stone, David Stone, Kenny Barefoot, Carrie Barefoot, Tommy Weatherman and Hunter Myrick.
