Catholic priest, city chaplain of Bogenhausen. Executed by the Nazi government after being convicted for having prior knowledge of the 20 July 1944 attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler. He had been asked by Ludwig Freiherr von Leonrod, under the seal of confession, if knowledge and preparation of the assassination of a tyrant was a sin in itself.
