Dorla ‘Dee' Z. Adams, 79, Anderson, formerly of Neosho, died May 7, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, following a lengthy illness. Dorla was born March 19, 1933 in Kansas City, MO and moved to the area in 1969. She had worked as a custodian at the Neosho Recreation Center, Neosho Auditorium and for the Neosho Public School System, retiring in 1992. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Granby Gospel Tabernacle Church. Dorla married Raymond L. Adams on March 25, 1952 at Miami, OK and he preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 2004. She is survived by four children, Ray Adams and wife, Lisa, Bella Vista, AR; Lane Adams, Neosho; Jan Phillips and husband, Randy, Bixby, OK and Kimberly Adams and husband, Jim, Seneca; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a sister, Jan Anderson, Raymore, MO. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jill Marie and brother, David Rankin.
