Rev. Gerald F. Brown, the son of Ronald and Rita Brown, was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Syracuse, New York, on May 20, 1967. He attended Duquesne University, Christ the King Seminary, St. Bonaventure University and St. John Vianney Seminary, East Aurora, New York. He was assistant Pastor of Christ the King, Endwell and St. Thomas Church, New Hartford. He also served at a parish in the city of Syracuse and at a hospital as chaplain during his illness.
Father Brown died of Cancer at the age of 39 and was praised by his priest colleagues for his courage in the face of the Disease.
