Edna Marquis Howard, a Northeast Portland resident, died of a heart attack Sunday in a Portland hospital. She was 94.
A funeral was held Tuesday.
She was born Sept. 21, 1898, in Aledo, Ill. She graduated from Medford High School and studied pharmacy at Oregon Agricultural College, now OSU. Mrs. Howard had lived in the Portland area since 1918.
She had been employed as a laboratory technician for a local medical clinic during the 1920s. She had worked for the Meier & Frank Co. drapery department for 15 years until her retirement in 1968.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Jean, and son, Lyle M., both of Portland; and brother, Hugh M. Marquis of Milwaukie.
Entombment was in Riverview Abbey Mausoleum.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to a favorite charity.
