NEW ORLEANS --- Irma Miller Parker died on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002 at the age of 94 years old in New Orleans, LA.
Mrs. Parker was born in New Orleans, but was a resident of Biloxi, MS for the vast majority of her life. She had been living in New Orleans during the past four and one-half years, most recently at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center.
Her husband, August H. Parker Sr., three sons, Arthur H. "Pappy" Parker, Milton C. Parker, Donald W. "Donnie" Parker and a grandson, Patrick Parker, preceded her in death.
Five children survive Mrs. Parker: John M. Parker, M.D. of Shelby, MS, Sr. Patricia Parker, RSM of Vicksburg, MS, August H. Parker, Jr., of Biloxi, MS, June P. Tucei of Gretna, LA an Henry P. Parker of Ocean Springs, MS. She has 18 living grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center Chapel, 5600 Gen. de Gaulle Dr. in New Orleans with a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial was in Southern Memorial Cemetery in Biloxi, MS with a graveside service at 2:45 p.m. Arrangements by All Faiths Funeral Home, New Orleans, LA 504-486-2002 The Sun Herald
