Henry J. Place, 85, survivor of the Peshtigo fire, died Friday evening in his farm home, located two miles from this city on the Hall avenue road, following an illness of about ten days.
Born in this county, June 7, 1853, he is survived by six children, Herman of Marinette; Norman, Edith, {Harry}Arthur and Helen at home and William of Milwaukee.
The remains were removed to the Hansen and Onion funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home with the Rev. Merrill Abbey of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the Harmony cemetery.
