John C. Bolhuis, of Hudsonville, was called home to be with Jesus, His Savior and Lord on Friday, November 09, 2012 at the age of 90. He was welcomed home by Hen, his wife of 67 years, and many loved ones and friends. He is survived by and greatly missed by his children, Garry and Eileen Bolhuis, Bill and Karen Weaver; grandchildren, Bill and Julie (Bolhuis) Taylor, Jonathan and Kim Bolhuis, Brett Weaver, Laryn and Mindy (Weaver) Compagner; great grandchildren, Amanda, Stacy, and Rebecca Compagner, Ashton Weaver; brother, Harold Bolhuis; sister, Cornelia Vruggink; brother-in-law, Darrell Shuck; sisters-in-law, Josephine Van Dyken, Friedith Hillbrand, and Eloise Bolhuis. Friends may meet with the family at the VanderLaan Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 5 P.M. and on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Funeral and committal services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Jamestown Baptist Church on Quincy St. with Rev. Roger Walcott and Rev. Shawn Dejong officiating. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
