Tommy Michael Tidmore, 59, of Gurley, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Tidmore was born Aug. 4, 1951, in Arab to Franklin Flint Tidmore and Ira Mae Hornbuckle McDonnell.
He was married to Carolyn Tidmore. He was a 1970 graduate of Arab High School, served four years in the United States Navy as a fire control technician and worked for National Copper and Smelting for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Tidmore of Gurley; brothers: Milton Hornbuckle of Union Grove, Sherman Tidmore of Albertville and Ricky Tidmore of Union Grove; sisters: Irene Nelson of Arab, Sharon Kite of Cypress, Texas, and Tina Brown of Estill Fork; and mother: Ira Mae Hornbuckle McDonnell.He was preceded in death by a son: Michael Shane Tidmore; and brother: Timothy Joe Tidmore.
The service was at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Shiloh Cemetery in Gurley with Spry Funeral Home directing.
