John Hale, well known farmer, expired suddenly

John Hale, 70, life-long resident of Randolph, died Tuesday. He had been in poor health for several years and died suddenly of a cardiac condition.
His father was Patrick Hale, a native of Ireland and his mother was Catherine Naughton, a native of Canada. His parents were well known in this section a generation ago. John was born in Randolph December 3, 1873.
The deceased is survived by his wife, Mary Hale, and by six children: Charles Hale of Arkport, Mrs. Glenn Atwood of Limestone, Mrs. Helen Gonter of Olean, Thomas Hale of Buffalo and Joseph and Catherine Hale of Randolph. There are three grandchildren, also three brothers: Paul Hale of Florida, William Hale of Randolph and Timothy Hale of Bradford; two sisters also survive, Mrs. Gertrude Smith of Salamanca and Mrs. Loretta Reed of Buffalo.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's church this (Friday) morning at 9 a. m. Bearers will be John McGinn, John Hackett, Rodney Hale, Kenneth Hale, Leo Heeley, Patrick O'Neil."
