"It Be Thy Will"
Fred was the son of the late Ira A. and Ada Fallin DeLoach from Upson County, GA. He had lived in Decatur, DeKalb County for many years and was a Union Official in steel production. Fred served his country during World War II as a 1st Sgt. at the 10th Replacement Depot and participated in the D-Day invasion, June 1944.
He was survived by one daughter; Sybil Safrit of NC, one son; Fred Donald DeLoach Jr. of CA, two sisters; Mrs. Mattie Lee Norris and Mrs. Gladys Ione Boyd of GA, one brother; Mr. Ira "Bunk" DeLoach, of Warner Robbins, GA, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Corinne J. DeLoach and one son; James Clifford DeLoach of Long Beach, CA.
He was my paternal grandfather and although I never had the chance to know him, I was told he loved to dance,and have a good time, he loved to play jokes on others.
Fred was a Mason and also a member of the Shriners.
He shares double headstone with his wife, Corinne Jones DeLoach.
