Donald F.Jerome joined the US Army in 1939 to 1945.First duty was in Hawaii 1941 at Fort DeRussy with the 16th Coast Artillery and lived threw the attack on 7th 1941.1942 went to AirBorne school and assigned to the 376th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion with the 504th 82nd Airborne Division.1943 was sent to North Africa,1943 Operation HUSKY of Sicily & Italy,1944 Normandy France Campain with the 505th of the 82nd,Operation Market Garden 82nd A/B 504th/376th F/A Campain Nijmegen ,Belgium, Bastogne,Operation Eclipse(Germany)A true hero threw heavy fighting and made it home.One of the few combat vets from the start of the war to the end in many major battles.He is a true HERO.
