Mary A. Gruden, 94, passed away peacefully Tuesday Nov. 13, 2012 at the Mt. St. Joseph Nursing Facility.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 30, 1918 the daughter of Leopold and Mary Grajzar.

On Oct. 23, 1943 she married Anthony J. Gruden.

While her husband served his country during WWII she worked for the Boeing Aircraft Co.

She enjoyed cooking, playing cards with her friend and needle point but it was the time she spent with her kids that she loved the most.

She is survived by her children: Louise A. Gruden, Fr. Bill J. Gruden and Joe (Denise) Gruden; her grandson Craig (Nikki) and her great-granddaughter Rosalynd.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Anthony in 1979; her brother Leo, her sister Anne Krapenc; and her niece Sally Ann Grajzar.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (Nov. 16th) at 10:00 am at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 460 E. 321st St. Willowick, with her son Fr. Bill Gruden and Fr. Ron Essman officiating. Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the MONREAL FUNERAL HOME 35400 Curtis Blvd. Eastlake.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made in her name to Mt. St. Joseph Nursing Care, 21800 Chardon Rd. Euclid, Oh.
