Jesse and Hannah Watters were married on 22 Apr 1792 in Greene County, Georgia. He and Hannah were the parents of Emily Adeline "Patty" Palmer (1793-1835), Rev. John Palmer (1795-1835), Sarah "Sallie" Palmer (1808-1831), William Watters Palmer (1810-1868) and Amasa Ellis Palmer (1813-1878)

After Hannah's death in 1815, he married Anna Gaston on 09 Jul 1816 in Greene Co. Georgia. He and Anna were the parents of Matthew Gaston Palmer ((1817- ), Jesse Alexander Palmer (1820-1892), Robert Thomas Palmer (1821-1863), Asbury William Palmer (1824-1893), and James P. Palmer (1826-1827).

He died in 1830 in a wagon accident while on his way to a camp meeting.

Actual burial place for Amasa and Hannah is not known but their son James P. is buried in this cemetery, therefore for now I have placed their memorials in this cemetery.
