Isham Green Harris was the son of Isham Harris and Martha Mabel Green. He was born on 24 Nov 1770 in Bute (now Warren Co), NC. Isham married Lucy Davidson, daughter of Colonel George Davidson and Brazilla Atkins, on 5 Apr 1791 in Montgomery Co, NC. Isham was a farmer and a Methodist minister. The family moved from North Carolina to Tennessee in 1806. The last six of their children were born in Franklin County, TN near Tullahoma. Isham and Lucy were the parents of:
