Mrs. Ida L. Lucas, Burlington route 3, died Friday (December 24, 1954) at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Lucas was born July 24, 1873, in Burlington. She was married to Fred Lucas May 14, 1896. He is dead.
She was a life member of St. John's Evangelical & Reformed church of Flint River township.
Surviving are three sons, Clarence, Mediapolis, Harry, Sperry, Rudolph, Route 3; two daughters, Mrs. Selma Drebenstedt, Sperry, and Mrs. Esther Hummer, Burlington; 24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Fry chapel in Mediapolis and will be taken to St. John's church Monday at noon for services at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Elmer Gumper officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
