Mrs. Mary Ellen Davis, 91, widow of Alexander Davis, died at 7 p.m. yesterday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. L. Long, 125 East Main Street, where she had been ill for several months.
She was s native of Loartown and a daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Ann Loar, pioneer residents of the county.
Besides Mrs. Long, two other daughters survive, Mrs. Mary E. Shaffer, Jacksonville, Fla.; and Mrs. Viola Thresher, this city, and three sons, Howard, Midland and Frank and Sylvester, Frostburg.
The funeral will be held from the Trescher residence, 2259 East Main Street, Thursday, at 2 p.m.
Harry O. Pearson of the International Bible Students' Association will officiate. Interment will be in the family lot in Allegany Cemetery.
