Frances Anderson Gibbs Frances Anderson Gibbs, 95, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, of heart failure at Allen Morgan Health Center in Memphis. Mrs. Gibbs was born in Linden and later moved to Franklin. She graduated from Franklin High School and attended Martin Methodist College, received a degree in library science from Peabody College and was a librarian with Franklin City Schools and the Williamson County Library. Mrs. Gibbs was a member of the Colonial Dames XVII Century, the Old Glory Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Crittendon Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and a charter member of the Williamson County Historical Society. She was also a member of Franklin First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Caroline Gibbs MacQueen; one grandson, Andrew Leigh MacQueen, both of Memphis; one granddaughter, Marjorie Moss MacQueen of Thompson's Station; and two great-granddaughters, Sutton and Allison MacQueen of Memphis. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 10:30 a.m., at Mount Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Robert H. Lewis officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Friday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Williamson County Archives or the charity of your choice.
