Cloyd E. Knouse, 81, of Selinsgrove RD1, died today in the Sunbury Community Hospital.
Born April 12, 1901 in Jackson Township, he was a son of the late David H. and Ada E.(Kratzer)Knouse.
He was married to Florence V.(Kratzer)Knouse who preceded him in death.
Cloyd was a retired carpenter and farmer.
Mr. Knouse was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove RD1, and a life member of both the Selinsgrove Moose Lodge 1173 and the Kratzerville Fire Company.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs Esther Sassaman, Mrs Mary Long and Mrs Ruth Heintzelman of Selinsgrove and two sons, Cloyd R. & George L. Knouse both of Selinsgrove RD1; 23 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren; two brothers, John Knouse and Harry Knouse of Selinsgrove RD1; and a sister Christobel Wagner of Selinsgrove RD1.
One son preceded him in death.
