MRS. W. P. ANDERSON DEAD AT ST. LOUIS
Was Born and Reared in Union Township, Adams County---Many Relatives Here

DECATUR, Ind., Feb. 16 --- Malissa (sic), wife of William P. Anderson, a woman born and reared in Union township, this county, died at her home in St. Louis, Mo., Sunday morning at 7 o'clock. A message of the death was received this morning by Mrs. Newton Anderson, the message having been delayed by the damaged telegraph service. Last Saturday evening Mr. Newton Anderson, a brother-in-law of the deceased, left for St. Louis, but did not arrive before her death. The funeral was held to-day. The deceased was more than forty years of age, and leaves a husband and four children---Mrs. M. S. Johnson, Gideon, Mo.; Bernice, Frances and Carl, at home. She is a sister of John A. Mumma, of Union township, this county; of Martin and Henry, of Missouri; of Mrs. Gideon and Mrs. Jane Warner, of near Paulding, O. Until seven years ago Mr. and Mrs. Anderson lived at Wren, O., and then going west, Mr. Anderson purchasing large timber land tracts from which they have realized quite a comfortable fortune. About two years ago she underwent an operation and has been in feeble health since.
