Marian Morse Becomes Bride of Lieut. Thomas J. Garvey
Miss Marian Morse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Morse, Hollandale, and Lieut. Thomas J. Garvey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Garvey, Seneca, were married at 10 a. m. on Saturday at St. Patrick's church in Hollandale by the Rev. Alvin Kutchera of St. Paul's student chapel, Madison.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was gowned in white nun's veiling trimmed with Chantilly lace and fashioned with medieval sleeves and a flowing train. A lace Juliet cap with beaded star design held her long veil of illusion. She carried a satin covered missal with two white orchids and streamers of gypsophila. The "something old" was a golden wedding band worn by her grandmother, Jessie E White Morse Miss Jessica Morse, sister of the bride served as the maid of honor.
The bridesmaids were Misses Katherine Pease, Edgerton, Veronica Smith, Madison, Christine Nickel, Chilton, and Catherine Garvey, sister of the bridegroom, of Milwaukee.
Lieut. Gene Welch, U. S. Army Air Corps, Colorado Springs, attended Lieut. Garvey, and the ushers were Maj. Ernest Englebert, on leave from the China, Burma India theater, and Corp. Orrin Gilbcrtson, on furlough after service in Europe.
Lieut, and Mrs. Garvey left the same day for Childress, Tex., where the former is stationed. He attended the University of Wisconsin prior to his enlistment and was affiliated with Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Mrs. Garvey is a graduate of St. Clara Academy, Sinsinawa, and of the University of Wisconsin, where she was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota. She was a supervisor of music, in Rockford, Ill, last year and will return there in September.
