Elsie L. Frank was born April 29, 1904 in rural Ecorse Township, Michigan. She was the daughter of Rudolph Frank and Ida Catrina Wilhelmina Krueger. Elsie's father Rudolph died when she was only about 5 weeks old. Elsie's mother remained single for a few years until she re-married to Herman Becker in 1909. Herman and Ida had 3 additional children. Elsie died of Diptheria at the age of 9 - on December 12, 1913, also in rural Ecorse Township, Michigan.
Elsie was buried in Woodmere Cemetery, in section Oakview, Lot 14. Her stepfather Herman Becker (who died in 1956) was buried alongside her in the same lot. Her mother Ida was buried elsewhere (in Michigan Memorial Park), because Ida and Herman were divorced in 1937.

Gravesite Details
When Elsie was buried, her grave had a beautiful upright headstone. Since then, the headstone has been laid flat. Unfortunately it is now about 4-5 inches below ground level.
