Andorlie T. Alden, age 85 of Elwood and formerly of Los Osos, California, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood following a brief illness. She was born on June 20, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA the daughter of Alfonz and Marie (Avila) D'aigle. She was a registered electrolysis technician and took great pride in starting her own business in 1981. She retired in 2006 after 25 years in her profession. She graduated in 1946 from Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, CA, and later married Charles Dale Holman in 1952. Upon retirement, she moved to Elwood to be close to her family. Andorlie was a member of the Elwood branch of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church. She was an avid reader and always had a book in her hand; and also greatly enjoyed gardening. She was formerly well-known for her astrological and numerological workups and did thousands of them for people in California where she developed quite a following over the years. In recent years, she was known as "Andy" at Community Parkview Care Center.
Her family includes her son, Zane (wife Becky) Holman of Elwood; daughter, Karyn White of Oklahoma City, OK; 4 grandchildren, Cameron Holman, Terry Jones, Joshua Jones, and Abigail Jones; extended grandchildren, Jennifer Super and Joshua Super; nephew, Dan Friend of Los Osos, CA; and special lifelong friend, Norm Sirnic of Santa Maria, CA.
Andorlie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Mary Lou D'aigle.
Private family funeral services will be conducted, and burial will take place in Los Osos Valley Memorial Park in California.
