Anna B. Daniels Allen 87 of Joplin, passed away peacefully at her home at 6;05 p.m. on Tuesday November 13, 2012.
Born in Roanoke Va. she was the daughter of the late Leonard Berkley Garthright ad Anna Christine Von Komriek Garthwright, and had lived in Joplin since 1963, moving from Long Beach Calif. She was raised in Virginia and received her Bachelor;s degree from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. A realtor she operated Anne Daniels Real Estate Agency in Joplin for many years. She was a Christian. An avid golfer, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and always cared for stray pets. She loved her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her first husband,Phillip K. Daniels Jr. She married Robert L. Allen Jr on August 5, 1978 in St Louis. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2006. One brother and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, MAJ Paul Daniels US Army Ret and wife Valora of Joplin, Phillip K Daniels III of Springfield Mo. James F.B, Daniels and wife Catherine of Kansas City Mo. five grandchildren, Michelle, Marie, Paula, Kurt,and Bryan and six great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be at 10;30a.m. Friday at St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary.
