Grand Prairie ~ L.D. Peel, 92, a retired bus driver, went to be with our Lord Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Arlington.
Graveside service is 10 a.m. Saturday, November 17th at New Hope Cemetery in Boyd. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.

Pastor Rick Neathery will officiate.

L.D. was born on February 20, 1920 to Willie and Annie (Gaston) Peel in Springtown. He was united in marriage to Louise Evans in 1979 in Arlington. L.D. was a member of the Masons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise; his son, Danny Peel; his daughter, Linda; his brothers, Willard, Ray, J.E, Arvil Lee and Harvey Peel; and his sisters, Velma Shaddy, Iva Mae Landis and Lola Harwell.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kay Vaughn and husband Rick of Nashville, Tennessee and Dianne Woodard and husband Tom of Grand Prairie; his son, Dennis Howe and wife Delores of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren; his sisters, Ola Taylor and Lois Weeks; his brother, Marvin Peel; other family members and a host of friends.
