George Zarick

George Zarick, 66, 985 Hunter NW, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, following an extended illness.

He was born May 4, 1912, in Czechoslovakia, the son of Thomas and Mary Mateyko Zarick.

A resident here since 1928, coming from Pottsville, Pa., Mr. Zarick was employed by Copperweld Steel Corp. 33 years and was a supervisor when he retired in 1972.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Copperweld Steel Foremen's Club and Sokols.

Survivors include his wife, Marian Bell Zarick, whom he married May 4, 1952; a stepson, Allan E. Bell of Sykesville, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Dominic (Dorothy) Riccelli of Warren; four brothers, John and Joseph, both of Warren, Paul of North Bloomfield and Andrew of Niles; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Robert H. Roberts Memorial Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Trumbull County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
