Blondie Mae was adopted from the pound in Emporia, Kansas. She was a blonde Cocker Spaniel, that was abandoned when she was a puppy. She was a family pet. When my brother and I's parents separated in 1988, grandma took her in, when my brother and I went and lived with her. Blondie ended up staying with grandma, and she loved her to death.

Blondie loved about everyone. She was very good with everyone, even kids. She never bit a person in her life. She was very mellow and docile ... but if anyone knocked at the door, she'd go running to the door at the person, not to attack, but to greet them. Grandma always joked that if anyone were to ever break in while everyone was away, Blondie would lick them to death.

Blondie's bestfriend was Tiger The Cat - they'd cuddle up and sleep together. I'll probably never see anything like that again.

Blondie developped Stomach Cancer, and was put to sleep around 1999. Grandma had her buried in the pet cemetery that the Dodge City Vet. Clinic had.
