A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Virgil and Meekie Messer Meadows. He was a retired truck driver.
Thomas is preceded in death by brothers, John and Jack Meadows.
He is survived by sons, Tommy Meadows (Ethel) of Arden, Steve Meadows (Leanne) of Candler, and Tim Meadows (Laura) of Candler; brothers, Ted Meadows (Earline) of Ash, Virgil Meadows (Margaret) of Candler, and Mike Meadows (Joyce) of Midway, Tenn.; sisters, Georgia Woody (Norris) of Asheville, and Sarah Smith (Culbert) of Ash; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Luther Pentecostal Holiness Church in Candler with the Revs. Furman Wilson and Anthony Craver officiating.
