EDWARD LEROY JONES

Edward Jones, age 23, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012, in Kansas City. He was born September 19, 1989, in Columbia, MO, the son of Glen Wayne (Donk) and Darlene (Pinky) Rene Heimer Jones. They survive. Edward is also survived by one sister, Lila Jones of Shelbina, MO; paternal grandmother Dorothy Jones of Bethel, MO; maternal grandparents Phyllis and Gene Campbell of Knox City, MO and Jackie Lee and Diane Corbin of Tennessee; paternal uncles and aunts, Robert and Carmen Jones, Ronnie and Kerry Jones, Eugene Jones, Harold and Debbie Jones, William (Bill) and Cindy Jones, John and Barb Jones, Darwin and Kathy Jones and LouAnn and Donnie Stathem; maternal uncles and aunts, David and Katy Corbin, Patricia and Wayne Jones, Alvita and John Oswalt, Mary and Kenny Middlester, Gina and Lonnie Golden and Julie Shiflett and numerous cousins and great uncles and aunts. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Leo Edgar Jones; uncle Gerald Jones; aunts Betty Mae Jones and Rachel Jones; an adopted aunt Tracy Marie Brumbaugh; great-grandparents, Papa Pete and grandma Betty Heimer, Harlin and Enid Campbell and Ethel and Mont Corbin; great uncles and aunts Bill Heimer, Kenny Heimer, Ed Small, Charles Heimer and Ralph Jones and numerous other family members. Edward was a 2009 graduate of North Shelby High School and a member of the Bethel Christian Church. He served his country in the United States Navy. He loved to collect antique license plates and miscellaneous items. He was obsessed with anything to do with trains and he also loved Johnny Cash. Edward worked for Sky Fab, Inc, as a carpenter and loved to read and rebuild computers. Funeral services will be held at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO, on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Asbury Cemetery near Steffenville, MO. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home in Shelbina from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2012. Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses or Donor's Choice.
