COLUMBUS: John "Marvin" Nolan, 82, passed away Thursday, November 15th at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his family after battling a stroke. John was born on December 25th, 1929 in Lando, South Carolina to Leroy and Lilie (Dixon) Nolan. He graduated from Charlotte Central High School in 1947 and from The Ohio State University in 1994. John was in Sales for over 50 years and was recognized nationally for his contributions to each company he served. He was the past President of Toast Master's, an avid member of the Y Men's Organization and a Deacon in his church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Lonnie Nolan, Jerry Nolan and Bill Nolan; and three sisters Mildred Phillips, Flonnie James, and Etta Dulin. John was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to all.
